Do you get frustrated with the time it takes to do your child’s hair?
Do you feel like you’ve tried everything and your child’s hair is still dry or difficult to detangle?
Do you feel overwhelmed with the product choices and don’t know which ones will work best for your child’s hair?
Do you feel lost about where to even begin with your child’s hair?
If you’re feeling any of these things, this guide is for you!
I’ve spent years researching and trying different methods so you don’t have to!
In this book, I’ve broken down everything about mixed hair.
After you read this book you'll understand
This book gives you a solid foundation and understanding of curly biracial hair and what it needs to be healthy, frizz-free, and defined.
Even if a hair care method or certain products work for you now, it's likely your child's texture hair will change over time. That's why I included different hair care methods and products. If one isn't working anymore, you have others to work with.
If you're feeling frustrated, stuck, or overwhelmed with how to care for your child's hair and/or the products to use to keep their hair healthy, this guide will eliminate that!
Hi I'm Christina and I'm the founder of Raising Biracial Babies. A big reason why I started my blog was to share the knowledge about mixed hair that I've gained over the years. I've had a lot of people ask for help or recommendations for their child's biracial hair so I knew it was something a lot of parents struggled with.
I have two mixed children and I began researching how to take care of mixed hair when I found out I was pregnant with my first baby, (5 1/2 years ago).
I knew I wanted to empower my child with the knowledge that her hair is unique and beautiful, and I wanted to raise her to love and appreciate her curls. I also eventually want to teach her how to take care of her hair herself. But that had to start with me fully understanding how to take care of it for optimal health.
However, (even with all that research) after my daughter was born, I still ended up going through a lot of trial and error trying different products and figuring out the best cleansing/detangling routine for her.
But I made it my mission to understand how to keep biracial hair healthy and what elements it needed to be frizz-free, soft, and defined.
Even after I found great products and a routine that worked for her hair, I didn't stop researching. I wanted to keep learning so if her hair texture changes, I will still know how to take care of it, and adapt quickly to those changes.
While I do believe that trial and error will always have a part in your child's hair care, (because mixed hair texture usually changes over time) it should be a small part. Once you understand your child's specific hair type and what types of products work best with their hair type, you'll have a smaller trial and error period.
I want every parent to have a solid foundation of how to care for biracial hair!
